Tignes stretches from Les Brévières at 1,550 m and Tignes 1800 at 1,800 m up to the main villages of Le Lac, Le Lavachet and Val Claret at 2,100 m. Skiing reaches the Grande Motte glacier at around 3,456 m, with the summit at 3,656 m.

What is the difference between Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret?
Both villages sit at 2,100 m. Le Lac is the main snow-front village and home of the Lagon aquatic centre, while Val Claret is the highest village, closest to the Grande Motte glacier and the lifts linking through to Val d'Isère.

What is the highest webcam view in the area?
The Grande Motte webcam looks out from the glacier at the top of the ski area, 3,656 m at the summit. On the Val d'Isère side, the Bellevarde webcam looks down from 2,827 m.
