PRODUCT INFORMATION
When deciding which company to
use to print our canvases we chose quality over price - the frames, are all
4cm in depth (often only 2cm is used), they are made from sustainable
European hardwood, using superior inks and on the finest quality heavyweight canvas.
Below is wording taken from the companies brochure.
"All our canvas prints are
created on the finest quality gesso primed heavyweight 340gsm canvas and
then hand stretched onto precisely engineered wooden frames. Only quality
English and European hardwoods are used in the manufacture of our frames
which have been properly seasoned and will not warp over time. We want to
use the best quality materials but not at the expense of the environment so
we make sure that all our wood is supplied form sources that have been
approved by the Forestry Stewardship Council, The Timber Trade Federation
and Woodland Heritage. Our canvas prints owe their brilliantly lifelike
colours to our use of Ultrachrome inks in their manufacture. Using eight
individual colours to create incredibly subtle variations in tone these inks
have been vigorously tested to ensure that your artwork will keep its good
looks for well over one hundred years. After your canvas print has been hand
stretched onto it's hardwood frame we give it two coats of varnish imparting
a durable finish ensuring your print looks good for years to come."
