CHALET ALISTELLE
Chalet Alistelle is based
in a fabulous setting of Tignes Les Brevieres, which is part of the
Tignes and Val D'Isère ski area: L' Espace Killy. Set in a stunning
location, the chalet is just 350 metres from the ski lifts and slopes.
Atmosphere: The chalet is stylishly decorated, with bright
colours and interesting features; while pine panelled walls and
reminders of old Tignes give it a traditional alpine feel. Polished wood
flooring throughout is softened with big rugs. The living areas are warm
and welcoming, full of light and space. French windows lead onto the
south facing balcony with stunning views over the village, lake and
mountains. The roaring log fire and comfy sofas create a wonderful
atmosphere, perfect for social aperitifs and relaxed evenings.
Be inspired by the
magnificent views up into the mountains over breakfast in the open plan
dining area. By night this area takes on a warm ambience, and evening
meals around the impressive refectory table are lively sociable
occasions. |

Entertainment: We appreciate that in addition to great company and
buzzing conversation sometimes we all like to chill out and be entertained.
With this in mind, we have equipped the chalet with television, DVD player,
VHS player, Sony Playstation 2 and a stereo system. For our guests there is
a well stocked entertainment library of movies, computer games, music cds
and board games. Set off from the lounge is a cosy alcove great for curling
up with a good book.
Tignes
Les Brévières is a charming alpine village nestled high in the French
Alps. The resort of Tignes is made up of five villages that form part of the
superb L'Espace Killy Ski area. Located just below the tree line at an
altitude of 1550 metres, Les Brévières is well linked with all the other
resorts, including neighbouring Val D'Isère, by the fast modern lift network
of the world class L'Espace Killy.
Les Brévières is a traditional ski resort with a friendly relaxed
atmosphere. The village has cafes, bars and restaurants that cater for all
tastes. For live music, go to La Bouida on a Tuesday, at the foot of the
slopes. For live football and rugby or for a game of pool, head to Bar Le
Geant or Vincents. If you want to party on, the British run Underground Bar
is the place for you. Les Brévières has seven restaurants, all serving local
specialities such as raclette and fondue, or classic favourites such as
pizza or steak. In the heart of the village you'll find cafes, bars,
restaurants, a supermarket, bakery, newsagents, post office, cash machine,
tourist office, ski school, ski shops and a weekly market of traditional
produce.
Bedrooms: All beds are made up with fresh white sheets, duvets and
pillows. Soft white towels are provided and changed half way through your
stay. All bedrooms have bedside and overhead lighting in addition to natural
light and mirrors. Master Bedroom 1: Beautiful large double or twin room.

quadruple room comprising 2 single beds and bunk beds. Windows to southern
and northern aspects enhance spacious feel. Bedroom 5: Cosy traditional
alpine beamed double room. Skylight window in sloping roof.
Bathrooms: The chalet has four bathrooms; guests have the option of
soaking their aching limbs in the jacuzzi bath or being invigorated in a
powerful shower. There is always plenty of hot water.

Menus: Your
first evening with Chalet Alistelle starts with champagne and canapés by
the fireside. Evening meals are four courses of hearty and delicious
food with complimentary wine followed by coffee and chocolates. We
believe that as well as looking and tasting great, the food we serve
should be filling and nutritious. Our menus range from succulent chicken
breast stuffed with brie, chive and wine sauce, with roasted
Mediterranean vegetables, to traditional Savoyard dishes such as
Tartiflette and Chevre Chaud. Christmas Day and New Year's Eve will be
celebrated with extra special traditional feasts.
We are happy to cater for
vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements. Please let us
know at the time of booking your holiday. One day each week, your chalet
hosts have a day off. Breakfast and afternoon tea are provided on a self
service basis. The evening is your opportunity to explore the local
restaurants. We will be happy to book a table for you. |

Breakfast: Start the day with a satisfying hot breakfast including
boiled eggs, french toast, porridge, freshly baked croissants and pain
au chocolat. Also on offer is a healthy selection of cereals, yoghurts,
french bread, cheese and fruit juice, all topped off with as much
English tea, fresh coffee or hot chocolate as you can drink.
Afternoon Tea: Arrive home to the chalet after a day on the
mountain and enjoy tea, coffee or hot chocolate with freshly home baked
cakes beside the log fire. |

Mountain Hosting:
Chalet Alistelle provides guests with a well thought out mountain
programme, whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned pro, designed
to make your holiday as easy and enjoyable as possible. We can organise
your lift passes, assist you in equipment hire and book your ski or
snowboard lessons. We give you the opportunity to be shown around the
superb L'Espace Killy by our resident seasoned mountain host.
Piste drop offs and
pick ups: The chalet is only 350 metres from the ski lifts and
slopes. For those of you who like to be pampered, we offer a drop off at
the ski lifts in the morning, then a pick up from the café at the bottom
of the slopes at the end of the skiing day.
Ski, snowboard and boot
storage: We have a heated room for the secure storage of your
mountain equipment. |

Master Bedrooms
Guests at Chalet Alistelle have the option to pay a supplement of £20
per person to reserve one of the two large master bedrooms, with
balcony. This is subject to availability.
Children and Children's Meals
Children under 12 pay 50% of the adult price when sharing one of the
Chalet Alistelle master bedrooms with their parents. If you would like
to have separate Children's meals and meal times, there is a supplement
of £40.00 payable per child per week. This service is available in
Chalet Alistelle only and is subject to sufficient demand (a minimum of
4 children is required). If this is something that you are interested in
please request this when you make your reservation. Please note,
children must be in the company of a parent or guardian in the chalet at
all times.
Single Occupancy
There is an additional 75% single occupancy charge when a double or twin
room is booked for one person. If you are happy to share, where we can
we will place you in a suitable room with other guests happy to share.
If this is possible, no supplement will be charged.
Group Bookings
A group discount is available for booking the whole chalet. This applies
when the group leader pays on a single cheque. We offer exclusive
occupancy of Chalet Alistelle for 12 guests for the price of 11.
Chalet check in and check out
Check in on the day of your arrival is from 16.00 hrs. Check out on
the day of your departure is 10.00 hrs. These times are important as
they allow us to prepare the chalet in time for your arrival. For self
drive guests, wherever possible we will be flexible with the use of
changing, shower and luggage storage facilities outside of these times
if you want to squeeze in a last morning on the slopes.
